Information On Renting at The Townline

Electric:  Personal usage! Typical costs range anywhere from $30-100/month and accounts are set up directly through Xcel Energy.
Internet:  Chose between fiber internet options from either Quantum or Xfinity! Options start at $45/month.
Trash:  Billed back to you based on overall usage, roughly $10-20 per person. 
Water/Waste:  This will fluctuate between $15-$25/month per person. 
Gas:  Billed back to you based on overall usage, roughly $15-25 per person. 

Trash, Water/Waste & Gas are set up through a RUBS system through UMS and billed based on occupancy and usage. 
 

Here at The Townline, we charge $100/month for a spot in our heated, reserved garage which is directly attached. We do have electric plug-in options for $150/month. 

Surface lot parking is available at $50/month, and we do have limited (free) guest parking options! 

There is a one-time $300 upfront pet fee, due at move in. There is pet rent, as well - $50 for dogs and $35 for cats, per pet. We are proud to be pet-friendly in all of our apartments! We allow two pets total per apartment, and PetScreening is required prior to move in for all animals. 

We do not have any weight or breed restrictions for dogs!

To secure your new home, a $60 Application Fee and a $150 Administrative Fee are required. After signing your lease, a $500 Security Deposit will be due for fully approved applicants (but can range up to 1 month as a deposit, for conditionally approved applicants). 

The deposit is held through the entirety of the lease and is refundable upon move-out. The Application and Administrative Fees are non-refundable.

Townline Apartments offers select apartments that are income restricted. These are apartments that have an income maximum an applicant can make to qualify, in accordance with Hennepin County.  

  • Any apartment with '-IR50' next to it will correspond to the below income maximums, per year, in total gross income.  
    • 1 occupant - $46,350
    • 2 occupants - $53,000
    • 3 occupants - $59,600
    • 4 occupants -  $66,200
       
  • Any apartment with '-IR80' next to it will correspond to the below income maximums, per year, in total gross income.   
    • 1 occupant - $74,180
    • 2 occupants - $84,800
    • 3 occupants - $95,360
    • 4 occupants -  $105,920
       

Important to know:

  • Co-signers cannot be used with these apartments. 
  • Full time students are not eligible for these apartments.
  • Applicants must still prove they make at least 2.5X the base rent in gross income, to qualify. 
  • The finishes / layouts of these apartments are identical to others. 
  • The application and approval process is identical to our other apartments in terms of the upfront application/admin fees, qualifications (outside max income levels), credit & background checks.
